Leone Grand Christmas Show Artistes PosterBereit für das Spektakel

drei, zwei, eins ... Lichter!

Englisch: - All (or almost?) is set and ready at the Aurora Theatre, so that tomorrow it may host The Leone Grand Christmas Show to hundreds of people who have already secured their tickets. With just one day away from show-night, all resources at the theatre have been mobilized so that it is in top shape and form to entertain its esteemed guests tomorrow night.

Rehearsals have been devised and carried out; technical works have been executed; logistics have been set; so now, all that remains (apart from the nitty-gritty here and there) are an approximately 24-hours so that we give the countdown of three… two… one… lights… curtain!

Tomorrow, the theatre promises a feast for all senses. With this weather, as unpredictable as can be, no alternative to an indoor theatre experience can be a better way to spend the last Saturday of the year. And it’s not just about being a convenient way to spend the evening. It’s about the quality of the spectacle as well.

The standards of the Leone Band, as far as music and entertainment is concerned, are… undisputed, to say the least. The Leone brand name, now, more than ever before, guarantees high-level musical productions. And with the added bonus of Colin Attard (and Joseph Debrincat) at the helm of the band, and Terry Shaw as the artistic director, the Aurora is up with something different and innovative.

With the sound participation of the Aurora Children’s Choir, this year’s Leone Grand Christmas Show is being further empowered with the EnKor Gospel Choir from Malta and the Voodoo Gurus. Besides, rather than up-and-coming singers, we shall be witnessing a real force of nature with the voices of Gaia Cauchi and Veronica Rotin, besides the well-established pop singer Nadine Axisa.

Equally enchanting are the dance items to be presented by the Central Academy of Dance, the Senior Ballet Dancers from the Gozo School of Drama, and the Aurora’s own dance schools – the Alegria Academia de Baile Flamenco and The Art Factory. It is nowadays a known factor that the Aurora is not only a production house of its own repute, but through external collaborations, it hosts two dance schools so that the theatre’s artistic footprint includes multiple genres of dance. Thus, it is more than just fair to have these two schools showcasing their hard-working pupils in this festive mood and spirit.

The Leone Grand Christmas Show will this year be hosted by young and sweet Clara Sciberras, this being another first for this seasonal variety. So the full ‘official’ line-up is set and done. But it won’t be any harm, if the audience prepares itself for any surprise that might come along. Whenever there is a Leone production, you are never short of (pleasant) surprises.

So, with this contribution, we salute the confirmed audience, running into the hundreds with this au revoir – ‘til we see you tomorrow. As for those who are still undecided about what they should be doing, we cordially invite them to join us. It is with good music, great spectacle and even more gorgeous friends that you’ll be spending the evening with.

Tickets may be obtained online from www.teatruaurora.com, from the Box Office, or at the door. Regular adult tickets cost €5.00 and 1 free ticket is given with every 4 paying ones. Children under 10 years of age are admitted with free tickets.
