Luke Azzopardi is a Couturier & Creative Director. He studied at Central Saint Martins in London as well as at the University of Malta where he remained to launch his self-titled brand, which is now a protagonist in the Maltese fashion scene. The Luke Azzopardi studio focuses on the idea of timeless elegance, and reflects a sense of a researched and applied aestheticism stemming from the director’s academic background in fashion & costume history. Its mission is to push artisanal design as a self-sustainable local industry through concept-based fashion that embraces beauty, individuality and style.

Recently, Luke Azzopardi designed Bizet’s Carmen for ZfinMalta (2018), as well as Gluck’s Orphee et Eurydice for the Manoel Theatre (2016). He has also curated the large-scale decorative arts exhibition ‘The Vocabulary of Maltese Style 1917-2017’ on the occasion of the Maltese Presidency of the Council of Europe in 2017 for Arts Council Malta & Heritage Malta. Luke Azzopardi was also awarded the Premio Cultura e Moda 2016 from L’Istituto di Cultura Italiano.
