It was a very moving weekend for the Leone Band and all of us at the Aurora as we went through three different musical engagements between Saturday and Monday. There go our youngsters with their wish and a prayer for world peace: Light a candle for peace. This is the cry of the children forming the junior chorus of the Aurora Opera House. We’ve seen them performing in the big opera on our stage. But we’ve also seen them doing their smaller productions of their own.
One of Gozo’s main festivals, Gaulitana kicked off slightly earlier than previous years. Its artistic director Colin Attard also directed the MPO. Malta and Gozo woke up on the eve of Valentine’s Day 2022 with a new household name: Ryan Hili, winner of the 3rd edition of X-Factor Malta. His final feat was winning the most votes from 38,000 members of the public
