Drakard joins the Leone Goes Pop line-up

As Leone Goes Pop fast approaches, it’s time for someone else to join the line-up of star-rated Maltese names. Young, energetic, dynamic and a vocal force of his own right, he goes by the name of DRAKARD!

Relatively unknown, save for some TV drama in Maltese, a 17-year old Aidan Drakard was an instant hit on the latest edition of X Factor Malta since the auditions phase. His looks, his personality and his voice resonated equally with the public so much so he entered the competition as a young aspiring boy and emerged as a top artist.

Above all else, Drakard is set to bring to this 13th edition of Leone Goes Pop versatility and spectacle, in a musical event known for its colourful and striking productions.

Drakard joins Lisa Gauci, the first of a string of artists announced for the 10th June event. One by one, the set of performers who shall accompany the Leone Band and Colin Attard shall prove the direction in which the Leone administration wants to take with this new era of Leone Goes Pop as it shifts from the open-air into the indoor space of the Aurora Opera House.

With 10 days remaining, more performers are set to be announced in the coming days. In the meantime, tickets are running out fast, with around 75% capacity to date.

Leone Goes Pop (13th edition) takes place at Teatru tal-Opra Aurora on Friday 10th June 2022 starting at 8:30pm. Entrance is free (auditorium tickets) but premium seats at €15.00 entitle patrons for added comfort in a box and a complementary welcome drink. To this end, Hall Boxes have been taken up and a limited number of 1st floor boxes remain.

Normal boxes, available through online sales, hold 4-6 persons but 2 larger balconies for groups of approximately 15 persons may be requested by email. Free auditorium seats may be obtained from www.teatruaurora.com.
