And the list goes on, this time round with a made-in-Gozo but still eclectic added value. Made of stuff true artists are made of, we are pleased to announce that JOLENE SAMHAN will be joining the line-up of singers for this year’s Leone Goes Pop, this coming 10th June.

Proud of her mixed Brazilian, Palestinian and German-Polish background, Jolene not only looks the part but fits the bill of a true artist with a unique sound, set to leave her musical mark in the Maltese music industry and beyond. Ever interested in the sector since a young age, 22-year-old Jolene counts quite a few feathers in her cap.

A happy return for Jolene at the Aurora

Here collaboration with Micimago and Shaun Axiaq as a singer and songwriter for the 2019 song ‘Place’ earned her the Lovin Music Award for Best Dance Track and a Best Song nominee for that same year. This will be a happy return for Jolene at the Aurora since it was for this song’s music video that she last stepped onto the Aurora stage in 2021.

2021 also marked Jolene’s debut single, ‘All in You’, which she wrote, and produced with Micimago and Matthew James, at SongSmith.

Leone Goes Pop (13th edition) takes place at Teatru tal-Opra Aurora on Friday 10th June 2022 starting at 8:30pm. Free auditorium seats may be obtained from www.teatruaurora.com. Premium seats at €15.00 entitle patrons for added comfort in a box and a complementary welcome drink.

Normal boxes, available through online sales, hold 4-6 persons but 2 larger balconies for groups of approximately 15 persons may be requested by email.
