Timing Your Opera Night
LA TRAVIATA - 17 OCTOBER 2026
Making each moment count!
1) How long is the Opera?
It starts at 7:30pm. Act 1 and Act 2 Scene 1 are 80 minutes long, so the first break should start around 9:00pm. With a 35-minute break, Act 2 Scene 1 is expected to start at 9:40pm and runs together with Act 3 in immediate succession for another 60 minutes until 10:40pm. The whole opera, curtain call included, is expected to be finished well before 11pm.
2) At what time should I arrive?
Patrons are usually recommended to take their seats between 30 and 15 minutes prior to the commencement. However, you are free to come to the theatre anytime. The catering establishment on the ground floor will have plenty of space to host you. Queuing takes place indoors on the ground floor lobby. Gates will open at 7pm.

Late comers holding stalls tickets will be permitted to take their seats on the first appropriate applause or pause.
