We were indeed looking forward to it as anyone else. We were very engaged in making sure it will be safe for everybody. But with some COVID-19 positive cases amongst our staff, this meant we’re unable to guarantee the quality service we were committed to deliver.

Therefore, the logical and ethical decision was to call the event off – concert and dinner.

At this point we would like to reiterate our thanks to the Ministry for Gozo, Arts Council Malta, the Malta Philharmonic Orchestra, Colin Attard and Marvic Monreal for their solid support in making this special event possible, as long as circumstances allowed. A big thank you also goes to MacMed Ltd and Ta’ Xbiex Perfumery for supporting us even when the odds have been so much against us.

We assure the general public that our premises remain safe as COVID-19 positive cases have been isolated and all facilities duly sanitised. We hope to be able to host you in our opera house in brighter times, but in the meantime, our basic amenities on the ground floor are still open.
